Troubleshooting

You don't hear any sound when you put an audio CD in the AppleCD SC.

Do you have headphones or amplified speakers attached?      
  •  If you have headphones attached, but can't 
     hear any sound, try adjusting the 
     headphone jack to get a better connection.

Is the volume control turned all the way down?
  •  Turn it up slowly.

Did you use the CD Remote desk accessory or program to start the audio playback?
  •  Did you click the Play button or press P if 
     using an Apple IIe?
  •  Did you click the Pause button (or the 
     Space bar if using an Apple IIe) and forget 
     to click it again to resume play?
